This story was told to me by a relative working medical assistance at the Latta Plantation Tri in Charlotte, NC:
A man was coming into the finish chute at full sprint and collapsed about 100 yards from the finish. He was in full cardiac arrest and had to be defibrilated. They got the unit there quickly but didn’t know if they could revive him. Luckily the shock worked and the man came to. The first thing he said was " What was my time?".
