The TriAmerica Series Finale is heading to the beach…South Beach that is! South Beach’s broad, immaculate strand ranks as one of the Travel Channels’ top ten beaches in the world and the Surfrider Foundation voted it the premier urban beach in the U.S. Athletes will be surrounded a pastel wonderland of painstakingly renovated architectural treasures and protected buildings from the 1930s and 1940s. With its glorious beaches and fabled nightlife, this popular visitor destination is home to a wondrous mix of luxury resorts, chic, boutique hotels, inexpensive hostels and moderately priced national chain hotels.

The race will take place on October 2 and will be staged on the southern end of Miami Beach in the heart of South Beach and the Ocean Drive Art Deco District. A TriKidz, sprint and international distance triathlon are offered.

What happened to the Aquarium??? I thought the bike course was a challenge having to go through the bridge 6 times… the finish line inside the aquarium was pretty cool, and nothing better than swimming on Hobbe Beach. I will probably pass on this race due to the change of venue. Also I am still waiting for responses from sommersports staff on the results of last year’s race.

Good luck…their lack of customer service, and Fred’s in particular is why I won’t do their events anymore…I use to volunteer, but his lack of common

courtesy, means I won’t be doing that either!

I won’t even talk about his antics as a USAT board member, either!
