Name that tune....here's the opening lyrics

I will think happy thoughts about the first person who can answer all 5 correctly (a pitiful reward): “There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold…” “Is this the real life…” “Must be getting early, clocks are running late…” “Busted flat in baton rouge, waiting for a train…” “A modern-day warrior
Mean mean stride…”
.

Talking Heads, Once in a Lifetime.

Who knows who wrote “Me & Bobby McGee”

Actually, I believe Bobby McGee was a Kris Kristofferson song. Although Janis did one of the best versions of it. I do believe in spirit of the contest all the others were sung and written by the the listed preformers. .25 deduction for not knowing that. As you could also say that Bobby Mcgee was a Grateful Dead song as they often used it on tour. Yes I did have a misspent youth, that has been a long strange trip. Aloha G

Right. I think he actually wrote it with the intention that she’d sing it, but I could be wrong.
