Heading to North Myrtle Beach with the family for the weekend and am going to take the road bike. Anyone know if there are some decent group rides in the area? My wife is just starting to get into the bike so anything from beginner (for the both of us) to Cat 3 type race pace (me) would be awesome. Also does anyone know if any local bike/running races are going on this weekend or next?
Contact Tim at www.grandstrandbicycles.com They have rides out of Murrells Inlet every weekend of all abilities. If you don’t want to go that far south I’m sure he can hook you up with a group up your way. They are a great bunch! Would be worth the trip a little south, maybe 20-25 min. drive.
My in laws live in Windy Hill, too bad I wont be there this weekend… been there the past 2.
Lots of riders on Ocean Blvd in windy hill and in Cherry Grove, but I am not sure where they ride out of.
I drive up to the state line (Little River) and ride up 17 toward Willmington, if you go early there is hardly any traffic and you can always go off a side road and ride toawd Whiteville or anywhere like that
