several of you posted to my original thread, so i thought i’d give you the update. my lbs- mission bay in chicago- sent the wheel into zipp on monday. zipp responded pretty quickly that it would be covered under warranty. on friday, mission bay called me to let me know that i could go in and pick up the new wheel. the bad part was that i had already left town, on my way to steelhead.
i don’t know if i should mention this part or not because i don’t want them to get into any trouble, but the nice folks at mission bay offered to let me use a demo wheel just in case my zipp didn’t get back in time for the race. sadly, the demo wheels were tubular, and i don’t have any experience with them (i use clinchers). so i declined their offer. but, i do appreciate their offer and i will definately continue to use them as my lbs!
