My wife is a GAMER!

My wife and I did a triathlon here in Houston-her first.

Her swim pace was 12 seconds faster than her usual per 100M. She has average 16/17MPH on training rides and posted a 20MPH bike split. Then she smoked the run at 30 seconds per mile faster than normal.

Pretty good if you ask me! She is now officially a triathlete!

Awesome! Good for her. Always good to hear about someone doing better than they thought they could. Fantastic pick-up on the run!

Congrats!

You should convince her to post here, there aren’t enough triathletes posting on this Forum!

Yeah, not enough triathletes and too many coaches!!!

Too many coaches…

Hey now, I’ve raced A triathlon this year and got 6th! :-p

You know the rule, without pictures it doesn’t exist…

Smashing! Did you drug test her?

You probably would have placed higher if you weren’t wearing football shoes. ; p BTW, you need to work on your run form…

I do, but not that you can tell from that pic…

james, as a fellow houston rac’n member, I salute your wife

now get her back in that kitchen…

Congrads to both of you. My wife finished 3rd overall at an all woman’s tri this weekend. She’s really been putting me to shame this season.

You can tell EVERYTHING from one picture. Bike fit, running technique, anything you need. One picture says it all. It is worth 1,000 words, you know…

She got second in her AG at her first tri. Now for a longer course.

We got excited and ordered her a new bike we had been talking about.

Hey James, was that TRI on Sunday out North of Katy? Wife and I got a late start on the KFC Sunday (mechanical) and noticed that Peek Road was closed to traffic at FM 529 and there was also a traffic cone with a person waving a flag as lots of bike riders were making a U-turn like in a time trial - was that the triathlon you two competed in? Oh, and yes we did end up getting very wet after mile 60 of the KFC but the tail wind comming back was pretty good!

that was Jeff & Brede’s .
Was wondering if any of the KFCers got hammered by the rain. It loked nasty when I was leaving KT.

Anyone who was still out on the road after 10:00 am got wet! The initial bit of rain was not that bad depending on where you where on the 100-mile course but the 30-mph gusts of wind from the approach of the storm, that was bad!

You’re running like your seat was too high during the bike : P

Good pic SAC.

PS: You probably would have been on the podium if you weren’t so busy posting on ST during T1 and T2 !

Fish

Why are you prancing ? Is it for the benefit of the dude in red behind you who’s checking out your butt ??
