OK, OK…I admit it. I played a part in the LA game earlier but was that enough to get my legit wetsuit post sent over to THAT place called the Lavender Room? It was only a cute kitten picture.

It is a list of wetsuits in my price range that I am trying to decide between. Hoping to get some positives & negatives about some of them. I realize fit is the priority but I am not in a situation where I can try several on all at once.

Anyways, I have really really like my Oneil’s HCS. Plenty fast never any chaffing even without body glide. Will be hard pressed to replace it when it finally rips its seams, which still seems years away.
Hadn’t even considered O’Neil. They have been around for awhile I am thinking. Will do some more research. By the way, you weren’t supposed to ADD another to my list. I am trying to NARROW down my choices.

I’ve swam in xterra vector pro,the sleeveless QR Ultrajohn and the superfull,and the top of the line ironman long sleeved wetsuit (forgot the name) all 2005 models. The superfull is a hands down winner for comfort, shoulder flexibility of the long sleeved models and speed. I’d say it is :30 secs or so faster over 1.5k than the xterra. I have no hard data other than feel and the clock. I did like the grid patterning on the forearm of the ironman wetsuit the best, but not enough to buy it over the superfull.

Rats, I was going to wait another hour or so and bump them all at once. Wanted to see a full page of all Lance all the time.
do a search of wetsuit posts on slowtwitch, you’ll turn up a lot. I’ve gotta vote for the QR superfull as the ultimate all around suit. Aquaman Metal Cell is a close 2nd especially as it’s so damn easy to get into, but the QR just has those awesome shoulders…
