This photo rules, it just captures how good it feels to go somewhere, have a good race, and then unwind afterward. For anybody who has ever experienced it, this is what “The Day After” is all about. Well done Rferron. As Michael R. Rabe would have said, “Now we’re livin’ like kings!”
My “day after meal” would have tons of donuts in the table with extra extra chocolate in the middle and extra chocolate cover on top.
But… yeah… it’s a nice eat-all-I-can-without-regrets feeling…

You should see the picture of Bryce the evening after the ETU European Standard Course Champs in Lausanne. He finished off two of the largest salvers of chips (Oops, french fries!) you have ever seen! Great picture and I got loads of mileage out of it, too
The drinking style is too conservative. Need larger beer mugs.

in T1, the strippers, really stripped Olaf…wetsuit came off WITH the trisuit and he was stock naked in front of everyone, laughed and took off.

Mister “Chin” is Alberto Herrera, a great guy from LA that I met on the plane to Lanzarote. He unfortunatly did not finish but did something I really admire :
During the run, he had huge stomach problem so he went to the medic tent for a while. I met him there after my finish and he was in a really bad state. At that moment, I though he had withdraw from the race but he actually had to guts to quit to medic bed and go back on the course to give it another shot. After 15 minutes of walking and running on the course, he was still too sick to go on so he had to withdraw which I think was wise decision. GREAT job Alberto!

Same idea… The day after IMUSA last year, shortly after visiting the Ben + Jerry’s in the village. I have to really watch what I eat when I train, so this was the first ice cream in months. Note the post-IM dopey grin and finisher’s shirt. My wife took this and its become one of her favorite photos of me.
