Dave,
Were they Q rings on the cervelo’s? Nice video

Yes, rotor Q rings on the cervelos! Did you see the other funky crank on the one bike I filmed. I had never heard of them, and it made the Q rings like round.

No I did not going back to take a look.

The bike was on the car, before we got to radio shack, first part. I gave the name of the mfg and took a pic of both sides. Anyone use these?

Osymetric ? I am going to google them right now.

asymmetric chainrings…interesting.

the video though, how cool was it to be out there?

it looked like you were in a spot just open to public, no? around the buses & everything?

going to have to fly out for that sometime, too cool.

It was very cool to be there. I road on their course in the morning, and went across the sprint line in Meadow Vista. Everyone could go right up to all the teams, etc. except for radio shack. They had them, as you saw, locked off with guards. You could talk to anyone. Get pictures. See them get ready, eat, 100% of everything!! I have never seem that many highway patrol together except for a funeral. The support on this race, now that I saw it first hand, and tried to take video, is JUST AMAZING! Puts all of our tri events to shame.

I was not going to go, but sure glad I did. Now, lots of folks went to Sac and were again able to talk to the riders directly. I just had no desire to deal with the crowds. Being up in Auburn, and Nevada City, was just perfect.

Shall be interesting to see what happens to the tour next year.

A number of folks rode their bikes right behind the race. Would be something cool to consider in the future.

Dave

Yep, those are them. Anyone know anyone who has tried them? Or do folks feel these are like powercranks also. :o)

haha just watched #2, i love how everybody is cheering for the parade of support vehicles.

Amazing number of support vehicles. I did not get them all either, just too many in front of them, and behind them.
