85 % Classifieds (I put new tires and base/aero bars)
Thanks to Tim and Mike!

MY BABY!!
You have done great things.
sure looks a lot like santa cruz …
So just curious, what was the final damage? I love doing these sorts of things – use patience, and piece together a GREAT rig from classifieds/eBay… So far I’ve done it twice, and both times the end product was cool, with the damage no greater than $1200.
Schweet!
I did consider it a long term project, took my time and I am very happy with the final result. I love the ride of my first tri-bike so much that I am currently no longer lusting for any additional bike. Quite an achievement!
Total for full bike, race wheels and new parts was about $ 1800. Add fit and new cabling job. Subtract race rear wheel that I sold.
Nice and clean. One question, what frame is that?
QR Santo.
Thanks, good luck at BK.
Thank you. Are you doing it?
No, but I was thinking about it. I decided to do Soma. I needed the extra time to train.
Cool bike. How did you remove the decals?
Thanks. Just some acetone.
I was more or less in the same boat. I did not plan on doing it as I focused on the run through July, until 3 weeks ago when I rode the course on my “new-to-me” bike and found out I was more ready than I thought. I hope the race won’t prove me wrong, though. The fact that I live so close also helped with the decision.
Nice build! I have the same - the Santo - and went for the bare ti look largely because the orignal stickers were so damn ugly. This year, I followed up with some custom-made new logo decals from QR. but the bare ti is really quite distinctive, particularly when every other bike out there has the manufacturer’s name plastered on it at least 10 times.
looks like a bike ought to look. awesome job. what do you think of the quality of the ride?
I agree that the original stickers made it easy to decide to remove them! Do you have pics of yours?
I love the ride even though I am barely starting to adjust to the new position.
Mine is bare ti too! I like the look MUCH better than the ADD-inspired logo-fest that bike frames have become these days.
