I have no idea why I’m sharing this with you all, but I thought it sort of cool and funny that my current pair of running shoes now have a sprint, Oly, 1/2 IM, and an IM on them. I’m headed to the store today to pick up their replacements, but it will be with a heavy heart that I retire these friends. I don’t know whether to throw them away or bronze them

maybe destinkify them first, but put them somewhere visible and be proud of them. not many shoes can claim such distinction. you’ve earned the right to be nostalgic.
