I had sold my Computrainer to a fellow ST member pending me sending him pictures. Tonight I go downstairs and begin pulling everything out and lining it up. Had all but one piece and headed into the adjacent room to get it. Right about then my two dogs come running down the stairs chasing each other. No big deal, they’ve been doing that for years.
But this time, one got overly excited, grabbed the jewel case with the software disc, flung it against the wall, then started running around with the program disc in her mouth. In the thirty seconds it took to chase her down, she put huge teeth marks into it and broke it into two pieces.
So no sale and now I have to try and get Racermate to replace it. I hope they feel sorry for me. I do.
If that’s the only thing that got damaged, it shouldn’t be a big deal. Computrainer made the old software available for download from their website while they figure out what’s going on with Racermate One.
The sale is off because the disc is damaged? Correct me if I am wrong but can’t you just go to the Racermate website and download the updated software?
CompuTrainer 3D Software Upgrade
With the upcoming release of RacerMate One software, we have now made the last full version of 3D free to all previous users who need it.
If you are using a Nintendo system, you will still need a Full System Upgrade as listed below, but you will also qualify for an update to RacerMate One when released. http://www.computrainer.com/rm_inc/sales/upgrades.html
That would be awesome. Even though the software is available online, it really helps to have something in-hand. It goes without saying (but I will anyway), I would cover you for your troubles. Let me see how the deal evolves. Since the software is available online, the buyer is saying he’s still open to going through with the deal, but hasn’t committed yet.
My e-mail is: ironjack@ironheadrp.com. Send me an e-mail and we can go from there. I can get it out the first of the week if I have your address but contact me directly.
I see no reason to be bothered. From looking at the DVD, I noticed the software is outdated anyways. Anyone purchasing the CT from you would be better off downloading the Aug 5th, 2010 version for free.
I hear that is what happened to the Racermate One master disc too. They are still trying to chase down the pack of dogs and piece together the cd so that they can start sending it out.
so if “someone” has been using a computrainer for a couple years and doesn’t have this latest software, should “someone” download it? thanks from “someone”
A happy ending…buyer decided to go ahead and buy it. Said he’d download software and a friend had discs he could borrow, if needed. Thanks for the info.
After a few rounds of fetch and frisbee have decided to hold on to both hounds for now, but the one is on double secret probation.
Thanks for the offer on spare Computrainer disc. The buyer decided to go ahead with the purchase and doesn’t care about the outdated disc, so no need to worry about it.
