My Poor Penis, Part 2

I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who recommended the ISM Adamo saddle. The thing is a friggin’ miracle worker! I just had the most comfortable 50 miler ever! Best of all, my penis never went numb and I never experienced any pain at all.

People recommended the ISM Adamo Road saddle since it was softer, well I ended up with the ISM Adamo racing saddle due to them being out of stock on the road saddle. I’m totally happy with that. I have zero soreness right now.

I’m so happy right now. Anyhow. I thank you and my penis thanks you.

It’s great when posters follow up on the results of what is usually a myriad of recommendations.

I’m still wondering about the guy that had 4 flats in one ride a few days back.

Glad to hear it worked for you! One important detail that I forgot to say in the other thread is that you need to sit properly in the Adamo for it to work. I have seen people sitting incorrectly and then complaining that it does not work for them… It also can take a few rides to get used to it…

I threw my bike on the trainer and did adjustment after adjustment until everything felt near perfect. For me, there was no break-in period. I got on the road and felt relieved. Period. There were not any pain on the sit bones or numbness in the penis/scrotum.

Note: I say, “no break-in period,” but I got this saddle as demo from TriSports.com. When I purchase the ‘new’ one, there might be a break-in period since nobody ever sat on it before. I’m not sure yet.

I think the point is not so much the saddle “breaking in”, as your parts getting used to the saddle. Speaking from my Adamo experience, my sit bones weren’t used to being sat on a saddle, therefore took a couple rides/hours of seat time to be comfortable.
