My "pjorn"

Just wanted to say thanks to all who helped advise me on the bike and then on the wheels.

I get gitty every time I look at it, and figured I’d share her with you all.

Chain in the big ring: Check

Minimal spacers: Check

Clean background: Looks like you took this behind the local elementary school or something, so a little weird, but…Check

Cranks lined up with chainstays: 3/4 Check

Wheels lined up: 3/4 Check

Front tire logo not lined up with valve stem: Deduct 5 Pjorn Points

Not too bad: A-
.

I can’t believe you just gave an A- to a stock build with race wheels. A Felt DA with a stock build is one thing, but not this.

Nice bike, though…I give it a “B”.

That’s actually the front of my apartment building… was the cleanest wall I could find in the area.

I tried to line the wheels up better, but it kinda slid a little right before i took the picture, and the tire logo thing i dind’t know.

The crank, i wasn’t sure what to line it up with, so i figured just relatively horizontal

I’ll take an A- though… but here’s my question… how much do most people’s tri bikes weigh, cuz they weighed mine at the store, and it was like 23 friggin pounds, and I was sad, but then remembered its not a climbing bike.

Anyhow, thanks for the grade

I grade relative to what you have to start with…don’t question the system! It’s a grade on the presentation.

I had an Econ Stats professor in college, he was Vietnamese and his name was Ho Nguyen (pronounced “win”). He would always say, “Ho Nguyen…you lose.”

I’m slightly offended for my bike that you called it “this” as if in disgust :stuck_out_tongue:
If i could AFFORD a Felt DA, that would be different, but given that this essentially cost me every penny of my savings, I’m gonna love it to death.

Could someone answer my q about the weight though.

I’d like to see a little more seat/bar drop, but that might put you in the dreaded “seats too high” category. tough to say.

i think mine as it is race ready is about 19 or 20. i have a QR caliente (same year as yours).
could prob drop some weight with lighter pedals, stem, bars, components, yadda yadda, but dont really have the money for it to be worth it.

Vietnamese… and the word “porn” just means bike in Slowtwitchese, so he didn’t post anything wrong

Yeah, if i were gonna get more bar drop, i’d have to take out some spacers / get a different stem. I can’t raise my saddle anymore without just being uncomfortable pedalling, i’m in a pretty sweet spot with that right now.

I’m still getting used to the position though, so I’ve come to terms with my non-bjorn like drop

I feel like I’d have to carbon out the cockpit to drop much more weight… and I guess I could have gotten slightly lighter wheels like H3C’s or zipps or something, but the hell with that, I LOVE my new wheels

I’m actually gonna be putting on shorter bars, cuz well, my torso’s and arms just aren’t that long, so that might save like a 1/2 pound or something :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyhow, thanks for the compliments / critiques, etc.

I’m getting no picture, not even a little red X. ???

Nice bike and not sure where the extra weight comes from… was that with pedals, computer, water bottle cages, seatbag, etc?

Looks like a nice bike to ride like a… Well, ride hard. Enjoy.

While I would not class this as Pjorn, it is a very nice stock bike with great race wheels. I am sure you will have a great race on the bike and I am sure the fit is dialed in as well.

Pjorn = A custom build. As little stock parts as possible. Upgraded a level or two from stock and has to have at least one or two BLING parts. Taking your time to find parts that are lighter and more aero.

Anything else is just a bike that looks nice.

maybe their scale was off?

did you have the seat bag and everything on there?

Yeah, that’s weighed as pcitured. Only thing missing is my polar watch and actual water bottles  But the watch mount and all the other stuff you see was on there.

Whatever though… since getting the bike 3 months ago, and training hard… i’ve gained so much power and speed on the bike that I’m just smiling every time I see it. For those of you in NY, and i know this isn’t gonna impress anyone at ALL, but it was exciting for me… i went from a 20 minute loop (BOOKING IT) to a 17:40 minute loop booking it in 3 months, and I haven’t even tried it with the new shoes yet, those JUST went on today

I love triathlon!

That’s why I put it in quotes. I know its not the ridiculous stuff you see when Al posts his R&A builds, but to me, its porn! If I could afford more upgrades, well, I don’t know what the heck i’d upgrade, cuz i’m pretty happy with everything… I guess the crank and aerobars are the next things to customarily upgrade, right?

Maybe get a carbon seat post too, cuz the Seduza comes stock with an Alu one.

Anyhow… its not “just a bike that looks nice”… it is a bike that looks nice, hehe
