I was getting a little cabin fever so I decided to rebuild my roadie. I was going to take it out today for a shakedown but the snow is coming down pretty hard. I realize that everyone is more impressed with Tri bikes, but I’m pretty proud of how this turned out.
So what did you change out, Pete? I like the clean lines of road bikes more than the techy lines of tri bikes but can apprciate both as I suspect goes for more of us than you think.
Changed out the seatpost from carbon setback
new crank
New Red group from an old Record mix
New tape from my old beloved orange that I caught endless flack for. (I may go back though)
Now I get to rebuild my Ghisallo with the take-offs
i would be too! that looks incredible. i just received the new decal set for my blade and was thinking about starting to strip off the old ones. i’m procrastinating though because i’m afraid it’s going to turn into a bigger job than it looks! (like pretty much everything does).
Great upgrades and I am jealous of the cranks. I have been looking at those cranks for a long while now and would love to get a pair. Well either those or the new Lightening cranks. I think both would look great with my Carbon Chainrings.
I say keep the red bar tape as it really fits the build and please for the love of the cycling gods, do not put orange on that bike with RED shifters.
Very well done and I look forward to the build with the left over parts.
