no power?
Sweet ride.
Yepp no power. The bike was expensive enough ![]()
I am not currently using power in my training. Coming from a cross country skiing background I am used to reading my body’s signals.
I am not saying training by power is not smart or useful, just that I am not using it ![]()
Please post a race report. I watched the 10th anniversary video this morning and am seriously considering this for '14. Nice set up too!
Hey,
Im doing the Norseman next weekend aswell, even though my training this year havent been that great ![]()
I dont know which one of these bikes I should use.
Shiv Tri
53/39 - 12/30 or 50/34 -12/30
ENVE 8.9

Tarmac - QSOP SL4 / Venge
53/39 - 12/28 or 50/34 - 12/28
Zipp FC 404
Aero bars

Any suggestions? or should I just stick with the 53/39 and go for the 12/30 casette?
First of all, those are two really nice bikes. I assume you have a favorite brand ![]()
I chose the S5 with Di2 and a semi compact crank so I did not have to choose.
What should you do? At Norseman you (we) will see both road and TT bike go fast. You will see someone using a disk and then others going totally road. The wind should not be a problem. Depending on how strong cyclist you are, I think a 39-30 should get you up the hills without to much grinding. It is also important to remember that a lot of the course is flat or downhill so you want to make sure that you have enough gears for that, and that you feel comfortable going downhill on your bike.
You cannot go wrong with any of those bikes. Pick the one you feel is right for you.
See you in Eidfjord.
My brother (he lives in Norway) took this picture of the last today. This is the first part of the hill, you can’t see toe finishline yet.
