Just got this thing painted, added the carbon cranks, FSA chainring and carbon fiber bottle cages. Showed it to a friend yesterday and the first thing he said was; “ahhh, the disco bike.”
I’ll be riding it at AZ 1/2 IM in two weeks. For those of you who ride cheap bikes…when you pass me…mind your manners and don’t say anything.

You MUST hang a 2" disco ball from the rear bottle holder.
Raise that front end just one or two more spacers and then your bike will qualify to be tested by softride in the wind tunnel.
I like the color, but what’s with the Rev-X?
That’s the bike that finished second on my list (too expensive).

Although, I think you may have a few of you scratching our heads with your position. I now know why my LBS didn’t have spacers last week. ;o)
I do “dig” the color. Don’t stop there, paint that disk or replace sticker with a Boogie Night poster.

Awesome bike and paint job! What model year is your’s? Who did the paint job? I rode the whole season with my steerer like yours because I could not get a good postion due to knee surgery. Here is a better idea for you: check out visions’s armrest risers and thicker arm pads. That way you can hack off another inch atleast off the fork and that way is does not look so bad. I too would agree with the others on the rev-x, needs to go. As for the others, this bike is not ‘expensive’ if you shop around. I only paid $2400 for a new 2003 frameset last year, and ebay for some of the rest($250 for reynolds ouzo pro aero instead of $450). If you are willing to wait, you can definitely find deals.
I would call it the ‘galactic’ paint job. Looks great.
However, to chime in with some other posters, what’s with the telephone pole sticking out of your headset?
Thanks for the compliments. Mine is the first year of production (1999 I think?) I paid $3000 for the bike full dura-ace, a zipp disc and a set of the American Flag Nimble Crosswinds. I think I destroyed the Crosswinds. They’re at the factory being inspected. The bike was painted by “The Color Factory” in New Jersey. I dig the Rev X’s. I’ve had the same set since 1998. Maybe the fourspoke X-Lab wheel would be strong enough for me. I’ll cut the stem when I get my position dialed in. I plan on sending the bars out to be stripped and polished soon.
