My new, uber-sweet ride

http://www.litespeed.com/images/apolack.jpghere is my new ride, 2005 litespeed vortex. sorry the lighting is bad and the bottle cage is temporary. But, what cant be seen is the custom fizik saddle with a yellow stripe down the middle, really sweet. Also, ITM carbon seatpost and ITM carbon stem. As i told herbert, its the second best thing ive ever had underneath me ; )

the one on the right is my door the other is an outdoor closet
.

Not to knock your ride, looks great and I’m sure that you will have many happy miles on it but…

There’s something about Litespeed that turns me off. I have no valad reason for it because I’m sure that they are wonderful bikes, I just done like them.

I also dont like Martin acustic guitars for no good reason and those are suppossed to be great. Would much rather have a Guild or a Taylor.

I am jealous of the saddle though! NIIIIIIICE SADDLE!!! BTW, why are you changing the bottle cage? Dont like that one? Got a matching set on the way? I’ve owned all or ONE set of bottle cages in the 8 years that I ave been riding. I love them and will never change!!!

I need a nap.

One more thing… the setup on that rig looks perfect. I like the saddle placement and the drop to the bar. STI"s are set in the proper place as well. Nice work on the setup.

You are knocking his ride… and the guy’s so excited about it he posts a picture… so for God’s sake let him have his 15 minutes and don’t piss on his parade with your “I don’t like them”…

haha, yeah, i dont mind. I know he has no reason that affects me, just preference, just like i think carbon is like riding a rubber band. I like a very reactive bike, some people think its uncomfortable.

Outstanding choice.

I bought one of the 2004 Limited Edition Vortex and couldn’t be happier. How about some pictures with better lighting? Is the bar tape yellow or orange? I have the yellow litespeed tape and that would be my only complaint that it gets very dirty. Don’t want to change the colour as the LE model had a theme of yellow trim and I love the look. Also checked with the Australian distributor but they aren’t making litespeed bar tape anymore.

I still have mine sitting in the lounge room and whenever I walk past it I can’t help but admire it.

My dream is to get a blade to go with it, then I won’t have to spoil the lines of the vortex by adding aerobars.

I had looked on the Fizik site and was considering an arione tri in silver with the yellow stripe, would suit my bike perfectly.

I’m sure that you will enjoy it, I still do.

P.S. re your comments about it being the second best thing you have had under you. You know the rules, no pictures, then it’s not true…

See, he gets me! I’m just a retard! (its ok, I can use the word “retard” because I LOVE retards, just love em)

Hmmm, now knocking on Martins. Don’t know what I think about that. Then again, I don’t like how they play even though they have a warm tone. I’m still much more partial to Taylors, but Guilds were always too rough for me. Too bad I can’t afford an Olson.

very nice  the only thing i don’t like is the front QR pointing foreward. have fun riding your new machine!

Check one of these out if you ever get the chance (www.goodallguitars.com). I had this one, but sold it when the kids came along. Sweetest sound I have ever heard.

hey LaWoof…having just had my Kestrel (yeah yeah pics or it doesn’t exist…I’m working on it) set up by a very good pro mechanic I noticed my levers were set up like this as well. I found getting to them a tad odd when in the drops (especially trying to maintain a low profile going downhill). What is it about their position that is ‘proper’?
