Couldn’t have picked a better pair myself.
They’re nice. Well ventilated. ASICS are too much designed for people with flat (slightly wider) feet. I deduce that beause my narrow, high-arched feet don’t fit right in them, and the people I know who do like ASICS have flatter, wider feet.
But they are good, durable shoes. I think of them more as a lightweight trainer than racer. Like a DS Trainer “Light.” I ran in a pair for about a month when I was on a shoe quest…

I have a pair of these. They gave me crazy blisters on the first run though, right on the achilles, they sit nice and low on the achilles, but the fabric is a little rough. I tied them too tight I guess and it chewed up the skin.
In general I like them. What type of running are you using them for?
I have had a pair for a while, probably done a few too many miles in them but they are great shoes and the tread lasts. I had to swap to these after my older racers, the yellow to black fade (5’s???) wore down. These shoes have a bit of a funky pattern on the front foot which I felt for a while but with a bit of carefull changing of foot fall they feel almost as good as the 5’s. Now they have come out with a shoe very close to the old racer 5’s called the speedstar which will be THE BEST shoe , as they are soo close to the 5’s but with a more durable sole.
Bar none these are the best running shoes for small people like me 5’9" x 140 lbs
Fairly aero, but I think your seat is too high.
nope. my legs are too short.
You need lycra shoe covers to make tham really aero.

DS-Racer VI. That’s a pretty sweet pic that Sergio posted. Those are the same shoe but from three different regions…green is the Australian version, orange is the Euro version and the white is the North American version. I kinda like the green ones, myself. BTW, wait until you see the DS-Racer VII, I think it comes out in like November or December.

Good shoes. Don’t make a racing shoe YET, though. Ex-guy from Nike R&D started a company making shoes without the BS bells and whistles. Reasonably priced, do what you need. He told me they will have a racing flat in the next year or so.
Simple, functional shoes… But not yet FAST…
Any chance Asics will ever offer a color customization program…ala one of your rivals? Who cares if its seen by some as “me too”…I like it…and would prefer to have a choice in colors, if possible…I’m not really into the bright highlighter green…but a red or blue color would be awesome…I’d pay an extra bit to have that option.
Yeah! because red shoes would match team timex outfit a lot better…
