Finally dialed in. My first TT bike since before this I was riding a 1999 Trek 2300. Already PR’ed one TT weekly race!
Amazing how quiet it is at speed. really cuts the air and handles as good as my road bike. took it out for a 100km ride yesterday. Climbs good as well!
What? I have one too i can make fun of the fact that its a stock one. I’m not saying anything bad about the bike its a great bike. But i just saw 50 of them at nationals yesterday.
Im not making fun of his bike purchase. Its a great choice. i just think its funny when people post pictures of stock bikes.
Yeah, yeah. It is a stock bike. It was also my first time to see if I could attach a picture to an email on this forum. Probably should have waited for something unique.
Can’t fault a guy who is finally glad he has a TT bike since all I am doing pretty much now is TT and some road races and a couple of duathlons.
Just can’t believe you’d rest your new baby in the dirt like that. Nice bike. Never get tired of looking at the P3C. That cage doesn’t look very sexy. Think you may need a carbon zipp cage or a speedbottle or something…
Yeah, the cage is a plastic one off of my fixie bike. It is light and it works. I’ll have to get fancy and get a nice carbon one eventually. As long as the bottle stays in the cage on the bumps, it works for now.
As far as the dirt, will clean it up for tomm’s race. Much more time spent cleaning the bike than the car!
Very nice! Also, you’re still within ST protocal even though your bike is stock. You simply called the thread “My New Bike” instead of bike porn p0rn, pjorn, ar anything else.
I’m sure i’t’s a very nice bike, but why would anyone buy an aero frame with a very low front end, and set it up so that your elbow pads are about 8 inches higher??? why not buy a frame that fits?
When you buy this bike, the shop actually has 5 spacers between the bottom of the headtube to the stem.
I got mine down to three now, as I need to get used to the lower front as compared to my road bike TT setup.
I plan to get even lower, taking more spacers out or swapping the stem angle a bit.
So you have some adjustability which is a good thing.
I’ve seen waaaaay worse than this. I’ve seen a guy with this bike and he had about 5 inches in spacers AND an upturned stem. The best part is when I asked him about the ride quality. With a straight face he told me that it’s a wonderful ride if it fits you!
