Here are lots of pics. So much to adjust I have not really got a good fit yet. Those who saw my earlier post, no way I could hold that for more than 5 minutes, but fun to try. At some point will probably take it into Tom for a proper fit. On to the pics.
The pic below shows the bolt you loosen to adjust the boom length.
Yes a look Ergo Stem – and spacers
Yup Carbon fork.
Never Seen SPOX Spinergy Wheels Here are a few pics.
Syntace Aero bars with Shimano Flightdeck computer. Full Ultegra
A pic only available on a Titanflex.
Yes there is one blemish. Previous owner said the paint chip was there from the factory. Not the best pic, but the light mark just below the flash reflection about 1" down up the chainstay.
Cant forget the bottom bracket and Look Pedals. (Note chain on Big Ring)
And to make a sweet deal even sweater. I got a bike case also.
Lets play a ST game with this. Name the Power tools visible in this shot. (at least 4)
Thanks for viewing. Just hope it fits or it might be a short engagement.
Nice bike Dave! Can you talk about your impressions of the quality. What does the bike look like from the front underneath? How thick is the downtube? Did you assemble it yourself? What were the BB threads like? How easily does the boom insert and move? How much does it weigh as it sits there?
NYSLIM - Just for you. Let me know if this is what you want, or if you want others.
Down tube surprisingly does not measure uniformly. The Headtube is 1.41" (11.75" long), the downtube, narrows to 1.35" and then widens out at the BB it is about 1.45 (I think, I forgot). at its narrowest its 4.52" if you measure on the horizontal its 5.55"
No I did not assemble it myself, I actually met the previous owner in a parking lot so he left it fully assembled. Can’t tell you about the BB threads.
This bike is a 2000 he used it on part of 1 endurance race (He got hurt and stopped racing) the bike has sat in the basement since. The Tube does not slide easy. I sprayed Dry Moly lube in there and it helps but it seems as that dries it creates some thickness that makes it not slide as easy. Of course maybe you really dont want it sliding to easy.
Oh ya I will have to weigh it later, I forgot that one. I wonder how heavy those SPOX wheels are?
Another surprise, I can find no serial number or any kind of markings on this bike, that surprised me.
You’re pictures and information are much appreciated. I’ve always wanted to examine a Titanflex from those angles and after hours of searching on the internet, your post was the answer to my quest. I think I will be getting one myself. I wish you well with your new ride. Ride it good and hard! It is a real thing of beauty!
#1 scroll saw = Dewalt #2 miter (compound?) saw = Delta? #3 jointer = I’ve seen that color scheme in a catalogue before, but I just can’t place it right now #4 stock feeder? = Delta again?
