This is pictures from my first serious injuring crash on the bike. I broke my collar bone and I got scrapes all over my body. A little summary of what happend:
I was racing at the danish champs in duathlon for youth. 5-20-2,5. I was in the lead with 2-3 min. after 15 k on the bike. I drove down a little slope with a bit over 50 km/h, it was to late. A Porsche 911 didn’t saw me and I hit the side of it, and flew over the car. In Denmark a car like that costs way over 350.000 dollars, luckly we both are insured and we took all the fault. I’m now sitting here in my room waiting for my new sponsorbike. I’ll post some pix when the bike arrives.
No, I flew over the car and landed on the pavement… The first thought then I were on my legs were “I need 2 finish, I need 2 win”, but no… I just sat down, waiting for the ambulance…
Damn dude, glad to hear that you weren’t seriously hurt. Collarbones heal - heads don’t always. Smart move sitting down and waiting for the parameds, too.
