I’m not done with her yet, but I just got my Renn disk back from Allan at Creative Custom Cycle Works and wanted to show off his fine work.

Tibbsy is gonna get blisters with this one.
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM! That’s one sick lookin’ ride, bro. Toute Schweet.
Thanks for the kind words Tibbs! Always nice to get props from an aficionado of bike porn. I am not all that happy with my bars, so I am thinking about getting some VisionTechs or something comfy to hold on to. It’s hard shopping for those because none of my LBS’s carry them.
Allan does great work. He did this disc for me, based on our team logo. I plan to get the front tri-spoke painted white to match.

You guys are really inspiring me here. I may have to transform Svetlana much sooner than planned. (My Talon SL you can find pictured elsewhere on the forum)
Website address for Creative Custom Cycle Works?. . .
Brian,
Looks great on the bike. Thanks for the compliments.
The web address is www.creativecycleworks.com.
Hey Tibbs, I can hook up a disk with flat black and a Devil Girl !!!
Sweet! Makes me reconsider having my disc painted…
If I win the loto tommorow you may have to find another painter! Here is a disk idea to give you more blisters.
Saw your bike in transition at Qmax, but not you. Looks even better in person.
awsome - how much and how long?
Stltricoach - Thanks! I must admit feeling like it is somewhat over the top, but as a friend of mine at a LBS said, nothing in cycling is unnecessary!
And you weren’t kidding 'bout them hills! It is my own damn fault for not checking out the course before the race, and I was expecting hills but not running on rocks and gravel. I chose the lightest, thinnest racing flats that I had anticipating smooth pavement. Big mistake. But we had perfect weather and it was a lot of fun.
I rode like crap. I should have pre-ridden the course on the TT bike with the disc. With the way the wind was I probably would have rode my road bike instead. I was hitting high HR’s on the hills, but couldn’t recover out on the highway with the cross/front winds. Oh well it was a good training race. I like longer stuff, I was getting a rhythm on the bike around mile 25, then had to get off.
I run out at Castlewood and on the Katy Trail, so I’m used to the rocks and trails. I was picking people off on the run but ran out of real estate.
Some of the short course guys hammered that course. A couple of guys passed me on the bike like I was standing still. Zucco doing a 2:06 is crazy on that course.
How was your race?
“Is it Allan’s interpretation of a slightly different logo, or did he just do the wheel verbatim from an existing logo?”
The artwork was a representation of the logo posted. I was given the freedom to add shading and shadows to give it a little character and not seem so flat. I also added some orange spice pearl to the white background. The other side of the disk is the Geckos backside.
Here’s a question. . .how much weight are we talking about with an aero type frame, disc, H3 front, aero seat post, aero bars, and stem?

I have not weighed a frame or wheel before and after paint. I will do this in the future since this is a point of interest. I think a few sips of water would take equal the added weight of paint. Maybe someone with a painted disk can post the before and after weight for a wheel.
