My arguments come from the starting point assuming two things:
The bible is the inerrant word of Yaweh
Yahweh is omnimax, The ultimate source of good etc. creator of the known universe and everything else, the first cause.
You can argue that these are not accepted beliefs within Christianity, but they are within the body of believers, and the pastor of the church I described in my last thread.
How do I know this? This is the church I was baptised in as a born a gain Christian 15 odd years ago.
If the bible is the inerrant word of Yaweh? It felt more like a Beta test version to me. Didn’t Muhammed have to release an update around the year 623? And then there was the patch released my the Mormons in 1830. L. Ron Hubbard added some features when he released his update in 1950. Personally, I still find the whole thing quite buggy. I grew so frustrated I thought about converting to Jobism and worship at the altar of the Apple, but I hear the Church of the Gay is going to change their scriptures.

So if we can wait another 15 years will you be back on the band wagon? Still searching?
Don’t hold your breath.
I am still searching, and always will be. I will never truly give up my quest to improve my knowledge of the world I live in. I will never have all the answers, but I will have more then I did yesterday.
I have said this before, I read the replies to my threads, I digest them and I try to learn from them. This does not mean I agree with them, but it does mean I have learned another alternative to the way I may view the topic.
If I was Billy Graham himself, I couldn’t convince you that God is real so cut the charade. It’s ok that you don’t believe. Really.
Billy graham isn’t convincing to millions of Christians. What’s your point? Why the insistence that ftda isn’t intellectually honest and wouldn’t change his mind with convincing evidence?
Billy Graham is not convincing to millions of CHristians?? What does that even mean?
Billy graham is an evangelical Christian, how many tens of millions of Christians are there who haven’t been convinced by him to also be evangelical? There are millions who belong to other denominations that have multiple disagreements in doctrine. Therefore they don’t find his evangelicalism more convincing than their brand of Christianity. They would say billy graham is wrong in his biblical beliefs and interpretations.
God is the omnimax creator of the entire universe and all life within, yet needs human help scratching out a few words in a book. Always love that one!
