I am not a coach, or a champion… but I am a competitor at heart. Seven months ago, I began to train for triathlon again… after a sixteen year hiatus. Didn’t even think I had any triathlons left in me. Yet here I am, poised to compete in the Las Vegas, Nevada “Rage in the Sage” H.I.M. I am thrilled about the prospects of completing the 70.3 miles in under 6 hours. Even 6.5 hours.
I would appreciate any critiques of my training regimen, my perception of the sport, and my comprehensive approach (i.e., training, nutrition, and rest). Please review www.myspace.com/geoffrey66 and weigh in.
Along my path to full distance ironman in November this year (2008), I hope to learn from all of you elitie atheletes with insights, and great amateurs out there, as well as you “average folks” that have this drive… this “sport in their blood”.
As for me, I’m just happy to be here. Happy to navigate through the events with a joyeux de vive I’ve not experienced in many years.
Peace
