What wheels are you all using?
I have a zipp 303 wheelset and a rear renn disc
i figure i will bring both rear wheels with me and take a look at the bike course the day before to decide if I am going to use the disc or the 303 rear.
using my standard mavic cosmics. course, i’m a cheap fuck so that’s the only set i own. 
The MM bike course is flat and not technical. I’ll be riding my 404’s but if I had a disc I’d be slapping that bad boy on. Just be careful when you are heading back west on the course and enter Kime Rd. As of last week it had plenty of potholes…word is they are supposed to be patched by race day.

By the way, you can be cheap and have nice wheels (maybe not THE NICEST, but nice enough) if you look, are patient and have a little luck. All three wheels cost me $125: A friend gave me the minimally used 650 Zipp 303s as he upgraded to 700c wheels; got the disc (used once) from someone else for 125
Use the disc. I did the race in 2005 and coming back this year. 2005 I used my 404’s and this year I will use a disc. The bike course is slightly up for the first half then down for the second half. In 2005 my second half split was 12 minutes faster than my first half. Fast course.
On another note, I’m doing IMFL as well.
