If there are 2 bands that defined my childhood- it’s Kool & The Gang and Quiet Riot.
Dad owned some disco nightclubs in the late 70s. And quiet riot was a favorite of mine in 5th grade. I was born in 74.

(I saw Quiet Riot perform live in a dive bar in Lansing, Michigan in 1994. So much fun!! I don’t think I’ve seen Kool and the gang live. But I’ve heard that song at every wedding I’ve ever attended. And it used to be my sisters favorite song. Might still be. I’m sure she still blasts it when it comes on).
