MTB question (3)

I’ve got a line on a Kona Stinky from 2006 in great shape.

I’d like to have a bike that can handle some XC trails, single-track and a bit of Downhill…essentially anything that is too much for my cross bike.

My question is whether or not a heavy full-suspension will kill me on up-hills versus a more all-mountain based bike or hard-tail.

Any mountain bikers out there that have thoughts?

If you’re not racing, it doesn’t really matter.

No not racing, just having fun.

I’m going to take a look at it in a few hours and will have a better idea then.

The Stinky is a fun bike, if your not racing, ride it everywhere
.

You will likely be disappointed using a Stinky as an all-around mountain bike. Great for downhill. Not so great for other applications.
