Mr. Tibbs - Secondhand Racing Jerseys

I’m considering designing custom jerseys to help raise money for the Mr. Tibbs fund. Our order needs to be a minimum of 12 units. I would like to find at least 12 people who would be interested in Team Secondhand Racing apparel. I plan to contact a few organizations for donations. The donations would purchase them logo placement but before I do that I need 12 committed individuals. I will also need the money for the jerseys upfront.

A few questions: (please chime in if you have anything to contribute) Should we do a cycling jersey or tri-top? Are people interested in matching shorts as well? Would people prefer a one-piece suit? Would you like to help find organizations to donate?

The majority are asking for the tri-top, with several requesting shorts as well. I’m hoping to have a quote by Tuesday but I am heading to Oceanside (for Ralphs) Wednesday morning and I don’t know if I’ll have internet access. At worst I will have minimum order requirements and pricing by Monday 4/5.

I worked up this drawing of the top today. I still need to make a few adjustments and add some sponsors. Please let me know if you know anyone that would like their logo on the jerseys. I think $200 for a logo with a five logo maximum is fair - what do you guys think?

I don’t have prices nailed down yet but we are probably looking at:

Classic Jersey - $65
Bib-Shorts - $75
Tri-Top - $65
Tri-Shorts - $40
Tri-Suit - $90

I will most likely go through Sugoi - I’ve worn their clothes and find it very comfortable.

I’d be interested in a tri top if it was somewhat like the DeSoto tri jersey. Basically sort of like a sleeveless jersey with a deep zipper and side pockets, none of that crop top crap, I’m not a girl and I’m not a stick.

Would it include a picture of a bishop?

The clothes would probably be red, white and black since those are the colors I used in the logo.

We could play a more with the bishop idea and get something cool. Here’s a start…

Count me in for a jersey and perhaps a pair of shorts (of course, you’ll have to ship them to Canada - if that’s a problem let me know).

Otherwise, I’m definitely in - that design rocks!

It sounds like everyone wants to go with the tri-top so I will try to lock down the price.

Don’t you think that jersey would look good with Cervelo and SlowTwitch logos on it? The colors are perfect :wink:

I was looking for a new tritop this year, the design rocks. See if Tom would put it in his store, although I noticed he has stayed away from the whole Tibbs bicycle thing.

I’m in for a tri-top. Logos would be cool. Maybe a picture of Shari in a TSR thong on the front. Call me ignorant but I still don’t get the bishop thing yet. Maybe the second cup of coffee this morning will do it for me. Or maybe not getting it is a good thing…

this design would be awesome on a dri-fit hat or visor.

pair it with black or red shorts and even a troll like me would look reasonably good from the neck down.
