Mr. Tibbs, HID: Does TSR REALLY Exist?

Has anyone actually started a clearinghose for unwanted tri gear? Tibbs, I remember that you offered to act as a repository for stuff after your Goodwill fiasco.

I got a tri top and bottom from IMNA as part of the “Team Ironman” community fund thing. I will never wear the stuff, but someone who can’t afford a tri top and shorts might. The stuff will wither in my local thrift store.

Any help here?

I have had the same question myself. Sounds like a great idea (or an elaborate joke).

To humble myself here…I do my races in cut off t-shirt or my sleeveless bike jersey of 3 years. Moneys tight. If you really are not goint to use it,and it fitsme,I would gladly pay the shipping + some. 5’ 11" 187. lbs

Kenney,

If Johnt’s stuff isn’t your size, email me. I have two brand new tops that are too snug to wear in public without scaring kids. While I hope to fit into them next year if I can get down towards your weight…well, if one can get used this year, great.

Jeff

Johnt,

You have answered your own question. Good people with extra equipment have offered to give it to good people who could use it. Therefore proving TSR does exist.

Dave

It is a large sleeveless top and XL shorts. Both are stretchy lycra material like most tri stuff. Not a great brand or anything (Ryte?), but will function just fine.

Lemme know.

of course it exists! I have donated and have been the recipiant of different items. as Tibbs originally described it, it’s also about having fun at races. My last race, I stopped during the run to encourage another to keep going and waited until she started running again. It may or may not have cost me one or two places, but I realize I’m not all that fast, so why not try and help someone enjoy it more?
