What are a couple of your favorite tunes to run to? I ask because I need to go through my MP3 player to avoid hitting dog songs in the midst of a good workout.
I would personally want to step around the turds you listed, but one man’s dogs are another man’s soul food. You’ll probably still get a lot of responses.
I’ll agree that some of the songs that I listen to aren’t the best ever written, but it is a tempo issue. I tend to run faster or slower depending of what’s playing in my brain at the time. Thusly, I need to eliminate Sweet Baby James and others similar from my playlist and I’m looking for suitable replacements.
Freak on a Leash-Korn
Seven Nation Army-White Stripes
Baba O’Reilly-The Who
Love, Reign O’er Me-the Who
Sabotage-Beastie Boys
Bulls on Parade-Rage Against the Machine
Rollin-Limp Bizkut
.
Weapons of Mass Distortion - Crystal Method (Actually, anything by Crystal Method)
Extreme Ways - Moby
Get Down Tonight - KC & the Sunshine Band
Cant Get You Out of My Head - Kylie Minogue
Clocks - Coldplay
Beautiful Day - U2
Such Great Heights - The Postal Service
Kundalini Express - Love & Rockets
Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice (come on, admit it, you love it too)
To name a few. I’ve got like 10 training playlists, both by genre and by pace. For interval days, I have a combo of fast and slow beats and I put it on random shuffle. Fast song - go hard, slow song - go easy. It gets really fun when you string 3-4 fast songs in a row…
