Movie review: Zodiac

i’m in a perpetual state of paranoia after seeing this film and am quite certain that a hooded killer lives next door.

Zodiac is an interesting story/film about the killer, the people at the newspaper who receive letters from him, and few people’s obsession with the case.
it is a thrilling, deep, and emotional film. i highly recommend it to those who enjoy thrillers and crime…but gads, don’t see if if you’re a scardy cat like me. (i’m hoping to forget it very soon, but it’s been several days and i can’t shake it)

has anyone else seen the film?

My March 7 Post:

"Saw it last night. It will mostly make your ass sore. Too long.

…

Whoever said the character’s weren’t aged well was correct. Particularly the guy who identified Leigh at the end.

Monk"

Book was excellent, very detailed and engaging; haven’t seen the movie yet (planning on it now that it’s out on DVD) but as with all books-turned-to-movies, I cannot imagine how they can cram all of it into 2+ hours without losing lots in translation.

Agree with Monk. Too long. For a movie with such a powerhouse cast, it really didn’t do anything for me. Felt the pacing was a bit off.

interesting. we watched it at home…i did get up and run around a little during the film.

Robert Downey is like Jack Nicholsen in that he kind of steals any movie is in.

love robert downey…love, love, love him!

We watched it, I loved it. The time flew by.

i’m haunted by the young couple in the park, that get tied up.

eek.

Very good flick, great attention to detail and re-creation of the era, but simply too long and involved … I have two personal connections to the film: The director (David Fincher) went to my high school and 9 years ago I worked for the Vallejo paper which received some of the killer’s letters … Couldn’t help but share

I liked the movie a lot, but I thought it was probably a bit too long.

As for being in a state of paranoia, I live in NYC, so I’ve always assumed that a hooded killer lives next door…
