For anyone looking for a good action movie rental this summer, then definitely rent Crank. We watched it last night and it’s a really great action flick. The action starts within 5 minutes of the movie and never stops. It stars Jason Statham (sp?) who I’ve only seen in The Transporter (and a small role in the new Pink Panther). I loved this movie!
The basic premise is that Jason’s character has been poisoned and only has a few hours to live. He goes on a manhunt to track down his killer. In the meantime, he has to keep the adrenaline in his body going in order to stay alive, so he’s on the constant lookout for something to keep him pumped. He comes up with some interesting ideas.
There are a few really gross parts and it’s definitely not a movie I’d let my kids see (really violent), but if you can handle that then rent it as soon as you can.
