Who is in this great race in Guntersville, AL? I know a few folks from here are racing.
I’ll be actually doing that race on Saturday and another one in Chattanooga (Sports Barn Sprint) on Sunday.

Herbert,
I will be there. Wanna get together early afternoon for some bike course recon?
I’ll be at Lake Guntersville Saturday.
Sunday I am going to ride Mt. Cheaha for some good climbing.
Good luck with your double header!
I actually won’t get there until race morning. Since I have raced there a few times I really don’t need much recon there. ![]()
I can assure you though that it is a great race.

A very nice race…but the people that run it suck *** and that is my opinion. There food sucks. Chattanooga put out good food. But, it wasn’t that organization that was responsible for it. I wonder if I will get another green water bottle to add to my collection?? To make it the 3rd this year. WahWahWah…I know complaining.
No, I will be there and hopefully have a good run and do some damage.
Sean,
Very nice race my friend. I think you finished one spot ahead of me and beat me by 20 seconds or so.
Bruce Gennari and Donny Forsyth went one two in the race, and Deana Frank won the women’s race I believe.
I better train a bit harder though as I was 4 minutes and change slower than last year. ![]()

cool… good to hear some results since the posted them behind that door where hardly anyone could get a look, and then random people would stand right in front of the results and instead of looking for their probable finish time they would start at pos. one and run their finger down the list until they found their name…two pages over…no joke I really did see this
I was gonna do the sports barn race too, but what’s up w/ the transitions? Itseems like a lot of prep work for a sprint… or am I wrong?
Complete results are up:
Yes, but with a bunch of errors. Note all the 0:00.00 transition splits. On each of those, the total time is way off (adds up 30 minutes ± more than the splits). Most importantly, MINE is one of them!
Good seeing you yesterday Herbert. And I think part of that 4 minutes was due to conditions. It was hot and windy out there. All the times seemed a bit slower than normal.
Mike,
I left early because it took pretty long to do the results and I had to get back to Chattanooga to pick up my race package for today’s race.
That race actually has results already posted.

Funny thing there is they had a glitch on the swim to T1 timing so they gave everybody a 1 minute transition.
As for my Mountain Lakes time I was just slower and I certainly can’t blame it on the conditions, I actually felt faster today. ![]()
Herbert
Not too shabby on the bike split today. Are you doing Nashville?
