Time for the annual summer trip with the boys - first stop will be in Nashville to gather up with everyone from Dallas, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago and Rockford.
Could someone familiar with Nashville nightlife/music please fill me in on an area of town to go out on a Thursday night? I’m picturing a row of places that I can stumble into and hear good live tunes being played, one right after the other. Any other recommendations for that night (and possibly Saturday night on the way back) would be appreciated.
Also, anyone with info on nightlife in Knoxville on a Friday night? food/bars/music/lapdancers/gambling? all will be considered in no particular order
If you are planning on staying in downtown Nashville you will probably want to hang out around second ave. That is were a majority of the bars/restraunts are located. Further out there are some fun areas around the vanderbilt campus.
the classic nashville excursion would be to the honky tonks on broadway. all with live bands, no cover, and a pretty diverse crowd. even if country’s not really your thing, it’s still a hell of a lot of fun and a uniquely nashville experience. it’s just a few blocks down to second avenue if you want a change of pace.
you also might consider the bars on demonbreun street. not all will have music, but there are some great places along there. have fun.
