What are you guys using to keep your ears warm during those cold rides? Thermals are good enough for the rest of my body, but i just cant seem to find something that works for the ears.
I have a couple of assos robocaps that provide total ear and underhelmet coverage. If you’re normally at the upper end of your helmet’s adjustability, they don’t fit so well. If you’re at the other end, then they work like a gem. I’ve worn them down to 20F with excellent comfort.
EDIT - For the record, these were gifts and the $60 price tag is beyond what I would even think to spend, even for that level of comfort. Not sure what I would use if it were on my own dime …

PS when it’s really cold I wear the beanie on top of the balaclava.

I make practically no distinction between running gear, biking gear, and skiing gear, except that I’d never go biking in my big goofy snow gloves. I have a whole collection of stuff, different gloves/beanies/earbands for different temperatures/preciptiation conditions

Bastard! I live 13 miles from the beach. In California 
run/bike faster. Cold is right, it got down to low 40’s for my ride this morning in Houston. Brrrr. If I move any further south I’lll have to emigrate to Mexico.

haha, if it gets to 60 here in ohio im stoaked.
I use a Pearl Izumi headband most of the time. The mornings where it drops below 40, I pile a beanie from performance over the headband

Gawds that must be awful. I was so enjoying my run tonight - I no longer have a avoid midday everything and running is a joy again. Heat index has us at 32C and life is glorious!
