i would have NO problem swimming every day if i was there!
what’s that blue stuff out in the background? It looks almost like water.
Very cool
Is there someone swimming in the corner of the pool or is that the surf coming up over the wall into the pool?
For some reason it seems that the pool I swim in is barely as wide as that amazing Bondi Beach one. Plus of course my vista is nothing like that.

I would have no problem finding the motivation to swim 4k-5k at 6:30 am in that pool every day for the rest of my life.
it’ surf coming over. the day I was there (on honeymoon / not swimming / pre triathlon) the surf was fully crashing over into the first three lanes and people were swimming through. you know what they say down there (they know how to htfu)
That sure is a great looking pool!!
how long did the operators of the pool have to wait from completion of construction until the seas managed to fill the pool? if the splashing only reaches 3 lanes, i’d say it’d take a few days to fill at least… ![]()
any wildlife in the pool this morning? ![]()
AGGGGGHHHHHHHH…i want to be back there!!! i love that pool. after worlds in 2000 i was in sydney for a week and finally got to bondi…and saw this pool. i didn’t get to swim in it. just stood at it semi-transfixed. next trip there i plan to swim in it.
i did get in the by far less glorious sea side pool at manley beach, just to see what one of those things was like (sea water slops in and out). we don’t have them, so they’re sort of fascinating to me. thanks for posting this: it’s my day’s upper.

The surf crashes over the wall - it’s amazing. No fish in the pool when I was in.
Not only is it summer time here ( 80’s ), awesome pool, amazing swimmers ( males your jaws would drop ) - they have a gym that faces the water - a massage area - and - and - and it’s Bondi mate !
They empty and refill the pool with a big pump every week. There is a pipe in the sea, just beyond the rocks. Awesome pool, I swimm there quite often.

No fish in the pool when I was in.
Are you sure…

Wait til a couple bluebottles get washed in… FUN!
Somehow, I find it just wrong to swim in a pool when there is a perfectly good ocean right there.
It’s like a hamster released to the wild, yet continuing to run on it’s wheel…
Actually, I find it wrong to swim when there is surfing to be done!

That is an AWESOME pool!
But I bet the black line looks the same at mine… ;-p
wow! Thanks for sharing. Now that is the most amazing pool ever!!!
But I bet the black line looks the same at mine… ;-p
They (some morons) re-did my local pool last winter and ‘forgot’ to add the black line in the lap lanes. Its so nice to swim in a pool with a line on the bottom when I travel. I’m jeallous of any pool with a line, especially the one pictured. I’m not sure if I’d actually get in the water or just ooohh at the view.
I don’t know about that. I prefer swimming open water too, but there are other concerns. At least when you’re in the pool you don’t have to worry about tides, jellyfish, large critters, etc…you can feel completely safe even when you don’t have a swim partner.
Besides, that water doesn’t look terribly swimmable to me.
who would go swimming when there’s surf on offer?
