So i am going to help teach an ART seminar in Morristown, wed night thru sunday. Anyone from there? I would like info on running routes and swimming pools and possibly cycling if dave comes visit with his bike!

I work in Madison, which is right next to Morristown. The CGI open water swim is about a 2 hour drive away + NJ rush hour traffic, just so you know…
For flat, shaded running paved trails right near Morristown, there is Loantaka Brook Reservation.

For a real trail run on some hills try Jockey Hollow. I love it here! May do a run here on Thurs. myself after work at 4pm.

Swimming pools: best pool in the area (that I know of) for drop in is Berkely Heights http://www.berkeleyaquatic.org/
They are over to the southeast of Morristown. They have masters swim MWF at 8pm and Sunday am at 8:30.
Don and Mel Fink have a Masters group the the Whippany JCC on Thursday mornings but I don’t know if they accept walkins.
There is also a YMCA in Madison http://www.madisonymca.org/.
I swim in Bridgewater, NJ which is south of Morristown (exit 17 on 287 while first Morristown exit is 35). We have masters swim on Thurs. morning–we have an awesome coach! I can’t remember if the guest fee is $5 or $10 per visit.
Bike rides–Wednesday night there is a group ride from Sports People in Bedminster (south at exit 22 on 287)

Cleveland was a great place to grow up, jokes about the Cuyahoga catching on fire, notwithstanding. My Dad still lives there and I go back regularly.
