Moron of the year award

Hey everyone.

It seems we encounter something like this at least once a year. It never fails to boil my blood.

Everyone’s welcome to their opinion I guess. I haven’t bothered to go to the Denver Post site to find this jokers email address and give him mine (opinion).

Grrr… People these days. I did find his e-mail (jmarmstrong@denverpost.com). Still debating if I should e-mail him or just shrug it off.

imagine… “A bicycle dude winning athlete of the year at the ESPYs?”

How 'bout a guy with a stick…

Opinions are like… welll you know.

Dumb as a brick – amazing some editor at ESPN saw fit to let it run.

Can I nominate Stephen Roche for an Honorable Mention Moron of the Year, for criticizing Tyler Hamilton for courageously riding this Tour through incredible pain?

Roche’s “argument”? Hamilton is bringing the sport into disrepute, because people will naturally assume he’s must be doing this with massive pharmaceutical help. Therefore Hamilton’s performance reinforces the image of cycling as tainted by doping.

OH KAYYYY, Stephen. No more questions, your Honor.

Just another example of a dishonest reporter. He’s simply writing that onerous drivel to get a rise out of us. He hints at an understanding of what this sport really is in the scheme of things. He’s just pandering to the sensationalists. Its a tired and childish attempt to draw attention to himself. Yup, its amateur hour at ESPN again.

email I just sent to Jimbo: “I am presumptuously, but I believe accurately writing on behalf of most cyclists and triathletes out here. In response to your ESPN article about The Tour and Lance Armstrong, I say with all due respect, (which in my opinion, isn’t much) you’re an idiot. Thanks for listening.”

Apparently the only thing smaller then this guys penis is his brain.

Jim Armstrong writes a sports gossip column for the Denver Post. I have never been able to understand more than a single word of it… here, you try:

So I don’t take anything he says seriously… disparaging Lance is an easy potshot and guaranteed to generate lots of annoyed mail and email. Personally I’m not going to give him the satisfaction…
