First off let me apologize to MartinC for being a dumbass. I swear I’m not doing this shit to maintain status as mayor - really.
I borrowed Jen’s camera for this trip because it’s better than mine, and I left it plugged into my laptop overnight, thinking that it would trickle charge the battery. It seems that it did not, and may indeed have actually drained the battery. The result was that I ran out of juice *very *early on in the day, and was not able to get a lot of pictures. The battery is in the proper charger right now and I’ll cover Rex tomorrow - I promise!
My accidental ruse of being industry continued today when they let me in early - right after telling some other people that they would open very soon, but for the time being it was vendors only. I guess having that badge around my neck *is *worth something after all!
The show opened at 10:00, and at 10:30 the ticket line looked like this:

An hour later it looked the same.
On to the bikes!
First stop was Vendetta:

Some nice detail work there…

Polished lugs and pump pegs - I love it!

More of Sam’s (Naked) bike - the buzz around the floor is that this **is **the winning show bike.

Crazy-cool 1-off handlebars and that weird “lock hole” thing he does…

Tied spokes. Niiiiiice…

You can’t tell in this picture, but when you look at that rear hub from dead on it looks see-through!

Nice work around the BB…

This seat mast concept was a popular one this year…

I’ve never heard of them before, but True had a cute offering…

And that “belt bike” wasn’t the *only *thing Lynskey brought to the show…

That’s 14.15 lbs

Castellano brought an interesting rear suspension design - only 10 parts!

Ahrens brought out a Vanderkitten bike! (but sadly for me, no Liz Hatch…)

This was actually Mandy’s bike…

Confusingly situated right next to Ahrens, Ahearne had a nice randonne bike on display…

These randonne guys seem to know how to have a good time!

And my favourite bike of the day - If I’m ever convinced to retire the Yaqui and get a carbon tri bike, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be this Parlee

NACA profile tubeshapes…

It gets faster the closer you get to head-on!

Very nice R brake placement and cable routing…

More detail on the cabling…

Who says Cervelo is the only one with a concave rear cut-out?

Wind tunnel this!

I’m s shadow. A ghost. You never saw me and I was never here.
