I don’t know if anyone said it yet but THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS. It was cold wet and monumentally hilly but you hung out there radar guns and all. Thank you so much
For two days in the rain no less. A truly great job by the volunteers.
I completely agree!!! It was hard staying warm while racing but I can’t imagine what it would be like as a volunteer out there yesterday. Everyone was extremely helpful and positive that I interacted with. I can’t say thank you enough.
Big time props for the Moosey volunteers, they looked a hell of a lot happier than most of the competitors out there. I ran through water, through mud, and kitty litter. KJ put on a hell of a race in very trying conditons. on a dry day that bike course would have rocked, and in the pouring rain it was still pretty sweet.
KJ and crew put together a hell of a show in the worst weather we’ve seen in New England this spring.
(But at least the swim was warmer than last year)
I definitely second that. A big thanks to all of the Mooseman volunteers! I’m impressed more of them were not shivering by the end…
Agreed! They Did such a great job. I made a point to thank every volunteer I passed because they deserved to be appreciated! two days waking up before 6 AM to stand all day in the rain - wow! So amazing! And they kept up the enthusiasm and high spirits. It makes the experience of Mooseman all the more special. THANK YOU VOLUNTEERS!!!
I worked transition and can say that all the athletes were very appreciative and cooperative, you made a good impression on the non-tri people
working the area, they were commenting about how nice all of you were. They did get a startle and a laugh when a guy got naked and changed
at his bike after the swim!
I can’t thank the volunteers enough – what an amazing job. Truly inspiring.
It was a huge effort by the volunteers. They were so positive and helpful and no doubt were suffering worse than the athletes in that rain. They don’t need to be out there in misery, but they were.
Also big thanks to Keith Jordan for putting on this event.
This course is a “CLASSIC” and I really hope that they just keep the New course. It has character and anyone who worked the race or completed it, knows that the new course is “special” and deviates from the usua cookie cutter events that are there to make people feel good about fast times.
The new course will draw people to this race. That 15-20 climb that we do twice is harder than the Beast in St. Croix or Nasty Grade at Wildflower.
Keith, huge props to you and your guys in finding this new loop and organizing it with the local authorities.
