Predict the podium this weekend in Mont-Tremblant. Will anyone upset Sanders??
Not sure if all of the following athletes are racing this weekend but here are few contenders from the bib list;
Male:
Sanders
Beals
Reid
Bozzone
Brandon
Clarke
Cunningham
Gerlach
Matthews
Shoemaker
Russell
Tollakson
Wurtele
Female:
Barnett
Brandon
Cave
Kessler
Lawrence
Tisseyre
Wurtele
Will be tough to upset Sanders here. Better positioning than last year and probably won’t tow the group around this year. Bigger question might be does he break or get close to breaking 2:00 on the bike (last couple of 70.3s at 350 watts show that it will be close).
Possible All Canadian Podium???
Sanders
Beals
Reid / Wurtele
H Wurtele
Tisseyre

I’ll blow up on the run.
Seriously though - an all Canuck sweep would be cool.

Assuming a mech free race, Sanders all the way. Beals tends to do quite a bit better on flat courses, so give me Bozzone in 2nd, and Reid in 3rd. I won’t be there btw.

Interesting, Beals has some pretty decent finishes in Muskoka. I thought he might be able to grab a 2nd place finish behind Sanders.
Men: Russell-matt has been flying on the bike and having a great year. If he has the lead on the run he will be hard to catch.
Women: Kessler-just a gut feeling

An all ONTARIO sweep (on the men’s side)!

He switched into those Giro Empire SLX with elastic laces. Nobody needs Russell to save 12 watts on the bike - that is just a problem
Can we count Matt Russel as a Canadian since he is literally from 20 miles away over the border?
I say Sanders-Bozzone-Russell.
The women’s race at this event does not seem “as interesting” this time around. Probably a good chance for Heather Wurtele.
Looking forward to Sunday in Tremblant.
