Modifying Easton Attack Bars?

Has anybody other than Tyler Hamilton figured out a way to modify the Easton Attack Bars? My aero extensions are about 2 cm too long and i want to cut them down. I saw the modifications that were made to Tyler’s bars but I’m wondering if Easton did that for him or if his mechanic jury rigged it?

Any Ideas?

I am willing to bet that when your UCI division 1 team is sponsored by Easton (among others) that you end up with a good supply of those handlebars and so a little trial and error probably does not have much of an impact. On the other hand, maybe its just me but when you are paying for the same aerobars out of your own pocket, I would think about this long and hard before making any permanent modifications to $700 aerobars!
