MLB LCS Predictions

I’m going with my head and my heart on this one.

I-55 world series … Cards and ChiSox. (Hopefully the I-55 series will be different than the I-70 series.)

I’m surrounded by loud Cub fans (as if there was any other kind). Nothing would be finer than the ChiSox and Cards in the Big Show.

The 'Stros scare me … they’re too dumb to realise they are s’possed to lose … and they gave us (Cards) a heckuva run last year.

One more point … I saw that the ChiSox were taking some National-level heat for sweeping the Indians in the season-ending series, thus allowing the Red Sox, and not the Indians entrance into the playoffs. Simply put, they played to win the game (stealing words from Herman Edwards). Now, where have all those nay sayers gone since the BoSox took their 3 losses and went home?

I’m feeling pretty good about the Birds over the Astros. Last year was stressfull, but I don’t think it will be as close as it was then. We’ve done suprisingly well against Clemens this year. I think we will have decent weather tomorrow and Thursday, so that will only make being at Busch that much nicer.

I agree, an I-55 series would be nice. Especially in St Louis, where the thousands of Chicago fans will be much more noticable in our bars around town. And I just can’t imagine a colapse happening again for us.

I say Cards and White Sox. I think the Angels are pretty tired, especially in pitching. Colon is out with some sort of shoulder injury right?

I just want to know if TripleThreat or stltri will wear their Cardinals jerseys to the South Side? could be rough, I don’t think I will.

My LCS prediction - Cards over stros in 6.

Yankees are done.

cool

Well it is too early to wager up, but I’ll be in Chicago over the last weekend in October and I’ll buy any ST’r a beer at Legends in my bright red Cards jersey.

I say Sox and Cards will advance. I saw that too - critics of Sox sweeping Tribe. Silly. They went all out on Friday and that win gave them home field throughtout. On Saturday, Ozzie rested a number of players and they still won. Sunday (or Sat?) was the el Duque v. McCarthy audition for the playoff roster. They’re not gonna try to lose.

Ozzie was asked yesterday about the Black Sox curse. Response - “There’s no curse, there have just been horseshit Sox teams for 88 years.” Classic, esp. he was part of them.

Chris Berman:

Konerko HR call: “there’s a drive … deep … that ball is gone”

Manny, same place: “hammered, back back back back back back … GONE, a missle”
