Are there any substantive downsides to mixing a tubular 404 front wheel with a clincher DT Swiss 415 back wheel (disc cover on the back)? I have an 808 tubular back wheel but my power meter is on the 415 clincher and I’d like to have my power output available to me during races to help with my effort level.
So instead of just running a full clincher DDT Swiss 415 setup or a full tubular Zipp setup I thought I’d use the tubular 404 in front in combination with the clincher DT Swiss (with disc cover) in the back.
I know I’d have to carry gear to change both tire types but I don’t think that’s a very big deal. Thanks for any help.
