I’d buy one.
The Mavic Io is so hot… SO HOT!
The new Cosmic Carbone Pro’s (FULL carbon) are pretty slick.
Mavic makes nice stuff. If they came out with an full carbon disc, I am sure people would line up to buy it.
A full carbon Mavic disc (lenticular) plus the Io would be ultra fast.
I think The Jerk has an Io. It’s pretty hot.
I saw some cool stuff today dude. some folks from Irvine were showing off some '07 wares.
So what’s Shimano got? : )
Doesn’t SD work for Campy? Is he a spy?
cool bike parts
.
SuperDave is 100% Felt, just up the road from the ASICS office.
Man, you better watch what you say, you might give it away! ; )
I ride campy on my road bike and used to work for a distributor that sold it. I use Shimano on my other bikes along with a mixed bag of stuff as well as on my MTB bikes for the rear shifter, derailleur and cassette.
I’m using the iO front as well, but a rear would be perfect for the rear.

Hey what are your lunch hours like. I’ve been able to work in the Live Oak loop. From Felt HQ we go up Glen Ranch back down to El Toro, make the right at Cook’s Corner and all the way down and around to Rancho Santa Margarita and back up to Portola and Lake Forest Dr. during my lunch break. A couple other guys tag along from time to time and we’ve even held product meetings on the road. If you are close and get 54 minutes free, give me a call. Typically we head out at 11:30a or so. We’re aerobar friendly, and in fact, I’ve been riding my Santiago Canyon TT bike in an effort to improve on my next attempt come February.
PMed you.
I ride that loop often and in that time frame. I hardly ever see anyone else. About what time do you get to Cook’s Corner? My ride starts/ends at the corner of Santa Margarita and Empressa. If you ever see a Felt TT700 out there… that’s me!
How cool is that.
Do we need to start a Live Oak Lunchtime Loop?
We’ve tried to keep going up Santiago and do the loop up and around the Mojestka (sp?) Ridge climb that rises steeply off of Santiago Canyon Rd. then loop back around and come back up and make the left at Cooks corner and do the loop. It really softens the legs to put that extra climb in.
What say you South OC guys, Should we start a Tuesday/Thursday 11:45a ride? I know there are guys/gals at Oakley that get on two wheels as well. It would be awesome to get a group of 10 or so. I bet the guys at Rock and Road could play hookie for a little bit as well.
Perhaps I’ll get the ball rolling on this.

I’m all for that! Modjeska Grade from the backside - from Modjeska Canyon Road kicks ass, much harder that way! I have yet to do what we’ve coined the Triple Threat - ride up Santiago from Cooks to Modjeska Canyon, take the Grade road, back down Santiago to Hidden Hills, the street opposite Live Oak, just a little offset. Up and over that and back down to Santiago and then ride up Live Oak, Plano Trabucco, and back to my starting spot. I know a few people who’d be game, as well.
Let’s pencil the Modjeska Canyon Road to Cooks, left around Live oak ride for next Tuesday. I’ll leave work (Lake Forest Dr. and Portola) around 11:30 and need to bang this out in less than an hour so we’ll keep the pace steady w/o water breaks or anything. We’ll keep it no-drop on the first go-around so everyone knows the loop.
Anyone Else interested?
Tuesday the 22nd will be the first one. Drop me a line at 734-788-1918 on Monday or so and we’ll get this working. I’ll check in at Rock and Road this weekend and see if the guys from Reynolds, Shimano, Oakley, etc would be interested in making this work.
The group mentality will force me to get out and stay on the bike this winter. I’m a sucker for peer pressure.

You got it. Here’s a link to the Triple Threat Loop - definitely not a lunch loop, unless you can stretch it a bit… http://tinyurl.com/8dpoj
I can’t make that regularly. I’ve got 60 minutes to make it back to my chair for lunch.
I’m going to start a new thread tomorrow and see what kind of response we get. From there we can figure out a good starting point (Glenn Ranch and Portola?) for everyone to meet.

Is this still an aero-bar friendly ride 'cause that’s all I got…
