I’ve got a great idea for the Endless pools engineers.
It would be called, “The Endless Pool” with “Roving Ass Beater.”
It involves placing on each side of the pool, two heavy arm like, cranes, with pads, and, on their ends are big rubber hands, or weighted pads, and every three to four seconds, they come down hard on the swimmer—roving back and forth down the small pool, providing a vicious beating on the swimmer. The “roving beater” would make sure the swimmer gets hit in the head, shoulders, back, back thighs, and feet. You could however set up the device to just “beat” the feet, or back or head. Whatever you need to work on. You could also remove the outer pads, and go “raw,” by adding small plastic pieces to mimic long fingernails.
Finally, we can have something to mimic the open water swims, those ridiculous intervals don’t provide in the pool. Oh, yeah, you’d be ready for the open water swim.
I used to work there and pleaded with them to change the position of the mirror. They don’t get it. The pool is ok but as I said before you don’t really get a good pull of water in the EP.
