Wow as a fan of track cycling this was huge. My wife and I had the privilege to sit and watch the 96 Olympic womens road race with the Phinney’s when Taylor was about 6 years old and with those cyclists as a parents the future will be brighter. I see the future of american cycling his name is Taylor Phinney.

If you ignore the first lap (of 16 laps) his average is closer to 38mph. The standing start saps up alot of average speed. So it’s 250m at about 26 mph average, then 3750m at 38mph.
