Mike Trevino DNF
PUTNAMVILLE, Indiana (10:47 a.m. EST, June 26, 2005)
Second-place solo racer, Mike Trevino, announced his withdrawal from RAAM this morning. According to information on his website, Trevino fell off his bike around 8:30 a.m. EST and separated his shoulder.

Totally bummed for Trevino. Hope he heals quickly. What was even more surprising was Kish DNFing.

Still in the race and EXTREMLY impressive…young Ben from Alaska (how in the World is he moving THAT fast and handled/ing the heat?). Totally digging watching Cat chase him and being wedged in front of my favorite ‘Kiss My Ass’ man Chris. AWESOME race out there.

Still pulling for the big guy from Texas…Mark Metcalfe to get himself to Atlantic City. Dude is an awesome Randoneur and psyched he is out there, one of the kindest men I have met in years in the ultra world.

Hope the rest of the race goes smooth–it has been a rough one to watch…especially after Dr. Breedlove departed this Earth.
