but yer on my Sh1t list for not coming up and saying hi
first of all, Eric I walked by you a half dozen times, but you were busy being head ref so I didn’t want to interupt your work. Great job BTW!!
For the important parts, Sherri had a good race, finished 3rd in her age group, also her friend (who BTW is also a super friendly hottie) won her age group as well. Great job ladies.
The Wednesday ride apparently had little effect on my race. I came into the first transition in 4th a little over a minute down. Took the age group lead after 4 miles on the bike and kept hammering till the 12 mile mark and then started backing off just a bit. Need to save something for Powerman next weekend in Alabama.
If anyone wants to do the Henshaw ride again next week, I’m heading out for it on Tuesday.
The bike split looks slow because it also included both transitions.
I spent the night at Amy and Dave’s, and after the race and a quick shower started the trek home. Took the scenic route through Big Sur as I have never seen the area before. Made it as far as San Luis Obispo where I am holed up for the night.
you know I was talking to Shari about this today after the race. A ride like Wednesday really teaches you how to dig deep and push through the pain of a hard effort, makes racing a little easier.
Thanks for the kudos all. I came up with a strong effort and a great day and got a good result. Definetely a good start to the season.
